Pure Gold Coin
– Dedicated to Laksmi, Hindu Goddess of Love and Abundance
my mom told
me
that money was
dirty.
she told me
not to
put it in
my mouth.
Today, I sucked on it
Until
It Came. . .
Tasted kind of salty.
She Teaches Him Nothing
Had I known
How tightly you
Had to sit in your
School Desk
Those twelve years,
I might have Led you
Out
for Life
Much earlier on.
