Poetry

Pure Gold Coin

– Dedicated to Laksmi, Hindu Goddess of Love and Abundance

my mom told

me

that money was

dirty.

she told me

not to

put it in

my mouth.

Today, I sucked on it

Until

It Came. . .

Tasted kind of salty.

She Teaches Him Nothing

Had I known

How tightly you

Had to sit in your

School Desk

Those twelve years,

I might have Led you

Out

for Life

Much earlier on.

Mitza lives in the Colorado mountains and enjoys forging authentic, joyful relationships with land, plants, animals, spirit, and people. Her daily life is informed by listening to direction and walking the mystery.  Silence, gesture, and simplicity hold her attention – she finds them to be magnetic in their power.
