Liz’s Chili

1- 1/2 lb ground beef
1 lg yellow onion
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 jalapeño
1 garlic clove
2 cans crushed tomatoes
2 cans red kidney beans (or 1 kidney bean, one black bean)
1T Chili powder
1T Cumin
1t Oregano
1t Cayenne pepper
1t each Salt, black pepper
**Optional: fresh cilantro, sour cream, shredded cheese, green onion, etc.
Brown beef, add: chopped onion, peppers, garlic, salt, pepper, and cook until veggies soften.
Drain.
Add tomatoes, beans, spices (more or less to taste). Stir. Cook for one hour on low medium. Stir. Serve with optional toppings.
